Born and raised in Vicksburg, MS, currently living in Starkville, MS. Professional artist, past adjunct professor at Mississippi College, and Wayland Baptist University at the Kenya Campus. National Board Certified Teacher, Art, 7th-12th grades. Developed a 12-part video series, THE CREATIVE CHILD and wrote the resource manual for training of caregivers used by the Mississippi Department of Human Services. The series won an award at The International Film and Video Festival, Columbus, Ohio. Past Artist in Residence for Yazoo Correctional Institute, a grant from the Federal Department of Justice, the William James Association, the California Arts Council and the MS Museum of Art, Past Artist in Residence for the Baptist Healthplex on the MC Campus, Clinton, exhibiting and selling artwork for numerous artists, Past art exhibition judge for Mississippi ETV, Mississippi Economic Council, Clinton MS Public Schools, Clinton Arts Council, MS Right to Life, Starkville Academy.

My painting styles run the gamut from realism, abstraction and nonobjective with a variety of media and subjects. I love nature and the outdoors and light and color. I often paint when I travel and have created a Tropical Series from art done in Costa Rica.
